Refund policy
Last updated 2026-10-10.
Software: 30 days, no argument
The Single Case plan and the Starter and Pro subscriptions carry a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Email [email protected] from your account address and ask. You do not have to explain yourself, and we will not put you through a retention conversation.
Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
Subscriptions: cancel any time, in one click
Cancel from your billing page. It takes effect immediately and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
We do not refund unused time on a renewed subscription beyond the 30-day window, but we also do not play games about it — if you were charged for a renewal you plainly did not want and you tell us promptly, we will sort it out.
Certified mailings: non-refundable once sent
A $29 mailing is non-refundable once the letter has been handed to USPS, because by then we have genuinely spent the postage. We say this before you buy, not afterwards.
Before it is sent, you can cancel for a full refund. Approve the letter and we commit it to print, so the window is short — please review the text carefully at the approval step.
If we got it wrong, we fix it at our cost or refund you. That includes a printing error on our side, using the wrong address when you supplied the right one, or failing to submit the letter at all. It does not include USPS delivery times, a recipient who refuses or ignores the letter, or an address you gave us that turned out to be wrong.
Court fees are not ours to refund
Filing fees and service of process charges are paid to the court and to the sheriff or process server, not to us. We cannot refund them. If your filing fee is a problem, form FW-001 asks the court to waive it.
Outcomes are not refundable
We cannot refund you because a case was lost, a defendant did not pay, or a judge disagreed with you. We sell software that prepares documents; we do not sell results, and we never promise any. That is stated plainly in the legal disclaimer.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong, please email us first — it is faster than a chargeback and we would rather fix it. We will always respond to a genuine complaint.
